Position Title: Asst. Design Engineer

Essential Functions:

1. Start of the project: Main technical contact at the start of a project.  Sign relative technical document as project need; 10% 

2. Defines customer specs: Gathers all (customer) data needed to define the customer’s wishes in a structured manner. Answers all technical questions and visits them if needed. 20 % 

3. Quote phase: Defines, based on his technical knowledge, existing (legal) regulation and creativity, the best (pre)design and manufacturing sequence. This design is the basis for the cost calculation.  20 % 

4. Project Start (first order): Ensures a perfect data transfer to the Manufacturing Engineer. Checks the design before asking customer approval and communicates / discusses all remarks with the ME. Even some times need do partial ME Jod such as make proto drawing and file；Releases the prototypes with the quality engineer and advises in case of issues. 30% 

5. During project life time: Evaluates & investigates all customer questions and requests for design changes. Communicates all these changes to the ME and keeps every file up-to-date. Is always available for technical discussion / questions.        Investigates all cost savings opportunities;       Review cost in PS and compare with Cost calculated at quote phase,work with team find opportunity to optimize cost and efficiency；   20% 

 

Minimum Requirement:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical or related

Good drawing ability

Good logical ability

Basic written and spoken English skill

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master degree in Mechanical or related

Familiar with Sheet metal manufacture process

Basic knowledge about six sigma

Basic knowledge about ISO9000 and TS16949
